The Driskill Foundation is supporting an innovative project to bring a state-of-the-art Flight Simulation Lab to Air Force Academy High School (AFAHS). The Flight Simulation Lab allows AFAHS to elevate their Aerospace-based learning mission to entirely new levels. In the Lab, classroom instruction is combined with highly engaging, hands-on flight simulation learning experiences and exercises. Students develop a deeper understanding of math, physics, geography and communication through their experiences in the Flight Simulation Lab. This learning approach has already been proven to work: MMR scores nearly doubled at an Aerospace-based high school in Minnesota. The Flight Simulation Lab used there is identical to that planned for AFAHS. As AFAHS is already a high performing school, this program will continue to support those students in their academic journey and lead to even greater success.
